HPE Updates Partner Programs for AI

At HPE Discover 2024, HPE announced an ambitious new AI enablement program in collaboration with NVIDIA to boost profitability and deliver new revenue streams for partners. This program includes enhanced competencies and resources across AI, compute, storage, networking, hybrid cloud, sustainability, and HPE GreenLake offerings.

New AI Partner Strategy

As part of the NVIDIA AI Computing by HPE portfolio, HPE unveiled a new AI partner strategy with NVIDIA. This strategy will drive innovation and leverage HPE’s edge-to-cloud portfolio through AI workshops and competency programs to enhance partners’ AI skill sets.

Key components of this strategy include:

  1. AI Acceleration Workshops: These workshops provide partners with AI readiness assessments, tools for building tailored AI growth strategies, and a roadmap for developing AI service practices.
  2. AI Skills Development: Partners can access workshops, self-paced content, and certifications curated on HPE Tech Pro, including NVIDIA certificate programs, to advance their ability to sell and architect comprehensive AI solutions.
  3. HPE AI Solutions Competency: This competency helps partners develop a complete AI practice supporting all stages of the AI lifecycle. Partners will be equipped to recommend, deploy, and manage the HPE Private Cloud AI, a full-stack turnkey private cloud for AI workloads.

Expanded Competencies

HPE has updated and introduced several competencies to support partners in expanding their AI capabilities:

  1. HPE Compute Competency: Enables partners to recommend optimal NVIDIA-certified HPE ProLiant GenAI inference servers, considering performance requirements and cost-effectiveness.
  2. HPE High-Performance Computing (HPC) for Enterprise Competency: Supports partners in developing and integrating HPE Cray systems for advanced AI models and data-intensive use cases such as deep learning and autonomous driving.
  3. HPE Storage and Data Services Competency: Now includes expertise for HPE GreenLake for File Storage, certified for NVIDIA DGX BasePOD and validated for NVIDIA OVX, accelerating AI and GPU-intensive workloads at scale.

HPE Partner Ready Vantage

HPE Partner Ready Vantage is a purpose-built program empowering partners to grow annual recurring revenue and build a solid foundation for service practice growth.

Highlights include:

  1. Partner Economics Multiplier Study: Conducted with Canalys, the study shows that for every $1 invested in HPE solutions, customers spend up to $4.90 on partner products and services, demonstrating significant revenue opportunities.
  2. New Competencies:
    • HPE Aruba Networking Security Service Edge (SSE): Equips partners with skills to integrate Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Secure Web Gateway (SWG) into an SSE solution.
    • HPE Solutions for Sustainability: Helps partners develop IT sustainability practices, leveraging technologies like direct liquid cooling to minimize carbon emissions.
    • HPEFS Partner Engagement Guide: This guide offers tools to capitalize on HPE Financial Services, with incentives for services like Asset Upcycling.

Enhanced HPE GreenLake Offerings

HPE GreenLake continues to expand, providing partners with tools to deliver faster time to value and actionable insights in hybrid cloud environments.

Enhancements include:

  1. Standardized Rapid Instances: Simplifies configuration, pricing, and quoting of HPE GreenLake offerings, accelerating deployment of virtualization, containerization, and cyber resilience solutions.
  2. HPE GreenLake Flex Solutions: Now includes sustainability and observability features, integrating OpsRamp hybrid observability and the Sustainability Insight Center.
  3. Managed Service Provider (MSP) Workspaces: This workspace supports OpsRamp and HPE GreenLake for Compute Ops Management, enabling full-stack observability and expanding market reach.

Analysis

HPE’s new AI enablement program, in collaboration with NVIDIA, is a strong and strategic move to strengthen its partner ecosystem by equipping partners with the necessary skills and tools to navigate the AI landscape. By expanding competencies and enhancing the HPE GreenLake platform, HPE positions its partners to capitalize on the growing AI market and drive new revenue streams. It’s a strong play that will keep the IT giant competitive in one of the market’s most aggressively competitive segments.
